Transforming Education
We need to rethink our whole education system, moving it away from the factory model of “schooling” with its standardization and regimentation and towards something that is woven more into real life and is more facilitative than directive. Here are some of my thoughts on that possible transformation. Click on the highlighted title to open up the piece.

When the Student is Ready… – Thoughts on our education system that attempts to force learning on the student rather than understanding the traditional wisdom of facilitating real human learning.
Under Imagined and Over Taught – Moving from trying to program our kids for success to letting them unfold in the logic of their own development, including thoughts from author J. K. Rowlings.

Ending Mandatory Education – My thoughts on this radical concept.
Educational Transformation? It’s the Governance Stupid! – Often glossed over, perhaps the most important tool to transform our education system is to get the teachers and the students involved in really running their schools.
